A Pelican by the Sea

We started the day off by visiting the site of our first project. We got a tour of the library of the Pompeu Fabra Univesity, which is a refurbished water reservoir for the Ciutadella park, which contains one of Gaudi's first works, a fountain that he designed when he was just a student.

Our site is adjacent to the library in a walled in area and currently contains benches, trees, and rubbish which will have to be demolished in order to build our restaurant.

After visiting the site for our first project, we explored Barcelona a bit more and got our picture taken by a street performer with an old timey camera.

We then hit the beach and enjoyed the crystal clear water of the Mediterranean Sea at la Playa Barcelona! It was such a beautiful day, sunny and in the high 70's, low 80's (no, I haven't adjusted to Celsius yet).

Overall, it was a beautiful day and I had a great time!
